Description
Back in the 1700's Ocean City, NJ was known as Pecks Beach. The island was used for fishing, hunting and grazing cattle and was considered uninhabitable. In fact it wasn't until 1883 that the first bridge was built until then the only way to get to the island was by ferry.
It certainly is a different story today. Ocean City is a popular summer resort town with beautiful beaches and a great boardwalk.
